Foxes’ 🦊- Geography 🗺️

In Geography, the children have been enjoying exploring maps of our local area. They had fun with a Battleship-style game, an interactive activity to get them used to reading maps and using grid references.

Then, working in groups, the children explored Ordnance Survey maps using six-figure grid references. They identified different locations, located local farms, and discussed what the maps showed about the land and types of farming. They also used map symbols and contour lines to explain their ideas and share their thinking with others.
