Forest School Week 1 & 2

Children have enjoyed a hands-on outdoor adventure in week 1, focusing on woodland exploration, safe stick collection, and in week 2 they have been building their own campfires.

The children went on an exciting nature walk through the trees to search for fallen wood.

They have learnt the basics of the fire triangle—fuel, oxygen, and heat—before starting their own fires.
Using a crisscross stacking method, the children arranged their collected sticks carefully in small fire lanterns. With guidance, they used flint and steel strikers to create their own sparks and light their small, controlled fires.
