Building Complex Sentences – Penguins 🐧

In Writing this week, the children learned how to build complex sentences by joining a main clause with a subordinate clause using a subordinating conjunction. We used sentence strips to help pupils see how each part fits together.
The children practised matching different clauses to create full, meaningful sentences and explored how conjunctions such as when, because, although, and before change the meaning. They worked hard and produced brilliant sentences.✏️
