Art in Penguins 🖼️

In Art Penguins began learning about Expressionism. They learned how facial expressions show different emotions. They looked closely at photographs of themselves making faces such as happy, sad and surprised. They studied how their eyes, eyebrows and mouths changed with each feeling.

Using their photos as a guide, they created quick sketches. The aim was to capture the emotion. They experimented with bold lines, simple shading and the use of colour to show the mood in each expression. The sketches were brilliant! 🤩
