First, the children learned about Harriet Tubman. They explored key events in her life and created a journey map using ideas like courage, hope, and freedom. They also designed a backpack filled with important qualities such as bravery, empathy, and kindness.
After this, the children focused on the environment and how to help our planet. They were able to choose from three different activities. Some designed their own eco-town, thinking about how to make it safe and sustainable. Others created comic strips showing the journey of a plastic bottle, exploring the impact of littering and recycling. Some children designed their own creature that could survive climate change, explaining its features and how it could be protected.
It was a creative and thoughtful afternoon with lots of great ideas!
